Experts in physiology and aerodynamics from the Ontario Institute of Technology at the University of Ontario gathered at the ACE wind tunnel to help Angelo Grubizik break the world record for winged suits. The research was conducted in a climatic wind tunnel and included tests with a newly developed free-flying vehicle and tests with wind chill temperatures below -100°C. In this record, the Angelo jumps from 40,000 feet, with a flight time of more than 10 minutes and a top speed of more than 250 mph. It’s a rare look at the high-tech research being done at ACE.
