The introduction of electric scooters, which have conquered American highways in recent years, has been slow in Europe due to stricter regulations for motor vehicles. Germany passed a law this month that legalizes scooters on the country’s roads and opens the way for more of them to surf in the city. In line with BMW, which targets high-end customers, the scooter costs more than twice the price of comparable models. Its use remains illegal in many places, as shared use in London is limited to a single closed park. And for those who are too young for the e-scooter, BMW has also announced a version for children from one to three years of age, powered exclusively by the feet of small children and LimeBike.
