You can click the Configuration Reports tab at the top of the All Events report at any time to view a list of events with custom settings enabled, and you can click the event name to change the settings. Therefore, if you want to use page_location in your custom reports, you must activate it as text parameter for the page_view event, and now you have 49 text parameters that you can activate in your project. To activate the custom configuration, go to Events -> All Events and click on the small action menu at the end of the event name line. To change the event settings in the App+Web Reporting user interface, you must send up to 25 custom event settings per result. Custom App+Web reports are fundamentally different from Google Analytics reports, especially how the same parameter name is treated as another unit at different events, and how archiving a parameter removes it from the collected data. Select Events as your filter, click on the Main Events widget, find your own event and expand your settings. It is subject to the same 25 user-defined parameter limits per response as the report interface, but you don’t have to worry about enabling user-defined parameters for the report in BigQuery – all parameters and their values per response are collected in QB. As with universal analysis, the custom parameters do not apply retroactively, so they do not collect data in reports until they are enabled. Google Analytics: App+Web offers 50 texts and 50 numeric settings that you can activate as custom settings in your reports. Note This means that you must first collect the event before activating your settings. However, the fundamental change App+Web has made from Universal Analytics is the way event parameters are captured and processed. If you send positive results with user-defined options, you can view the options in real-time reports. The list shows all parameters collected with the event specified in the selected date range. We will see how the user-defined parameters evolve during beta maturity; I think they will play an important role in the decision to migrate them from Universal Analytics to the App+Web.
