To use the display mode in your Safari browser, you must therefore either unlock the cross location tracking blockers in your browser or simply do not use Safari to debug the container. When you switch to viewing mode in the Google Tag Manager interface, GTM will send you to the googletagmanager.com domain, where your browser will place a source cookie with an authentication code and details about the version of the container you want to view. Unlike other browsers, you will be redirected to a page at googletagmanager.com, where you must explicitly click the PREVIO START button. To find this button, click on the Safari menu, select your Settings, expand the Privacy tab and clear the Avoid Scanning between sites checkbox between sites. Now navigate to your container in the GTM user interface and click on the PRONOSTIC button. With Intelligent Tracking Prevention, your Safari browser is on a crusade against cross-finder scanning. If you find this unattractive, you should use a different browser to view GTM containers. However, ITP 2.x is no longer sufficient, so the button no longer works if you have enabled cross-location prevention.
